I study many theories of spiritual thought and Abraham Hicks teachings have a natural talent for empowering the self. Below is an excerpt from her book “Ask & It Is Given“
Plus an explanation on how you can use it in your life.
As children we are very selfish this is actually an important trait the ego employs to protect our emotional-self. Somewhere along the path of your life you were disempowered by someone you loved and trusted. Once a person is disempowered the only solution is to repair the damage done to the emotional-self. Repairing the damage involves empowering the self through changing beliefs and thoughts.
Abraham Hicks explains it in their book, Ask & It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires (2004:168) “Remember you live in a vibration Universe, and all things are managed by the Law of Attraction. And you get what you think about, whether you want it or not,” They go on to say, “because you are giving it your attention, the vibrational essence of it will, in some way, begin to show up in your life experience.”
We cannot change our past life experiences we only have control over the present moment. When you are feeling dis-empowered it is because your thoughts and believes about yourself are not empowering you at the present moment. It does not matter where these beliefs and thoughts came from it only matters if you want to change them. So start today and make a commitment to yourself to build empowering thoughts and beliefs into your life.
Quick & Easy Empowerment exercise
Write down a dis-empowering belief that you believe about yourself, than next to it write down the opposite belief.
Example “I am unmotivated” (Opposite Thought) “I am motivated.”
It is so important to remember that “A belief is just a thought that you keep thinking” Change the beliefs you have about yourself to “positive thoughts” and you will automatically empower yourself.
